2 day Private south coast winter tour with optional blue ice cave or glacier hike

In the winter the south coast of Iceland is one of the popular locations to visit as it offers some amazing sights that can not be missed, the waterfalls dressed in ice, the glacier lagoon and the blue ice caves of Vatnajökull and of course a chance to see the aurora during your overnight on the south coast all come together to make this tour the perfect add on to your Iceland winter trip.

We will start off by visiting some epic waterfalls, Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss, both have their own special feature that make them a little different, you can walk behind Seljalandsfoss waterfall but remember that in the winter the path can be slippery. Skógafoss is around 60 meters high and there is a staircase next to it, again it can be slippery but it is great excercise as it has 527 steps to get to the top.

Then we continue towards the small village of Vík, from there we head onwards towards the Vatnajökull national park where we will be ending the night at a hotel nearby.

The next morning we will head to the jewel of the trip, Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon and the Diamond beach next to it, if you have added the Blue ice cave our to the booking this is also the meeting point for the ice cave tours.

On our way back we will visit the Black sand beach at Reynisfjara and Dyrhólaey before reaching the city of Reykjavik.

As this is a private tour we can of course adjust the itinerary for your group so make sure to book soon and let us know of your wishes!
